Acclaimed director Pa. Ranjith, known for his powerful depictions of social realities, is set to transport audiences back in time with his upcoming historical drama “Thangalaan” (meaning “Son of Gold”). Starring the charismatic Vikram in the titular role, the film promises a raw and intense exploration of exploitation and resistance against the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Fields during British rule.
